  • Where/what was your previous job? I worked for a local recruitment company.
  • What do you love most about your job? I have the ability to improve the lives of hearing impaired people and their families.
  • Life outside of work... I am married to Sharon and have 3 children, 1 girl and 2 boys that take up most of my time, albiet the daughter is now married and moved out!! I am a keen caravanner and have travelled across Europe many times with the caravan in tow!!! I enjoy travelling and faraway holiday destinations. Me and my youngest son are Ipswich Town season ticket holders, and frequently travel to away games as well.
  • What is your favourite sound? The roar of the crowd at my beloved Ipswich Town FC.
  • Interesting fact about yourself… I played in the Football League Final at Portman Road back in 1988.

  • Where/what was your previous job? Manager at hearing aid manufacturer, Phonak.
  • What do you love most about your job? I enjoy making a difference and I love sound technology.
  • Life outside of work...I have a daughter and enjoy my spare time with her, especially at weekends. I used to be a DJ and still keep my hand in with music and have a small studio at home.
  • What is your favourite sound? The beach.
  • Interesting fact about yourself… I have completed the 3 Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all in 24 hours.

What was your previous occupation: I joined the Royal Anglian Regiment in 1983. After leaving the services I retrained as an audiologist, qualifying in 2004. Previously before joining HCC, I had been working for Amplifon.
What do you love most about your job? HCC affords a really flexible and friendly workplace which I haven’t previously had working for large National and International companies. 
Life outside of work... I have a strong connection to my local golf club and have 2 Spaniels to walk which gets me out in the fresh air.
What is your favourite sound? The roar of the crowd as Harry Kane scores for Tottenham (life long supporter).
Interesting fact about yourself... Past Captain of Bungay & Waveney Valley GC.

  • Where/what was your previous job? Fitness Instructor.
  • What do you love most about your job? Working in an interesting job with great people.
  • Life outside of work... I have 3 children who keep me very busy but when I get time I like to exercise or to the other extreme, relax with family and friends.
  • What is your favourite sound? Waves lapping on the beach - reminds me of holidays!
  • Interesting fact about yourself… I am a hearing aid user and was a patient at HCC before joining the team.

Charlie Myhill RHAD FdSc MSHAA

  • Where/what was your previous job? My first job involved working as a Saturday Customer Care Team Assistant at the Hearing Care Centre.
  • What do you love most about your job? I've always loved the positive and welcoming atmosphere shown by everyone at HCC. 
  • Life outside of work... I enjoy socialising with my friends, regularly playing football, and watching Ipswich Town at the weekends. 
  • What is your favourite sound? Music and laughter
  • Interesting fact about yourself… I enjoy being active outdoors, and I play football multiple times a week.

Callum Ross Artell - Trainee Audiologist

Callum Ross Artell - Trainee Audiologist
  • Year joined HCC: January, 2023.
  • Where/what was your previous job? I worked for a scientific laboratory which specialises in the testing of products and materials. Since joining HCC, I have taken on roles in the business including Hearing Care Assistant, and am fully trained in Wax Removal.
  • What do you love most about your job? Being supported in a company which offers quality training and promotes career growth. In September 2023, I will be studying towards the FdSc in Hearing Aid Audiology at De Montfort University in Leicester which I am particularly excited for.
  • Life outside of work... I enjoy going for walks in the beautiful nearby countryside, taking time to get some fresh air and rewind. I am also a keen gardener and love attending flower shows.
  • What is your favourite sound? Birdsong as it is peaceful and comforting to listen to.
  • Interesting fact about yourself… I am originally from North Wales and have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and Linguistics.
