Receptionist/Administrator
 

Are you an experienced administrator looking for a new opportunity? Hearing Care Centre, Ipswich is a multi-award-winning company, part of the TAC Holdings Ltd group of hearing care companies. We have been established since 1998 and operate from several locations across both Suffolk and Norfolk.  We are now recruiting for two Receptionist / Administrator’s to join our team on a part time basis. 

The key aim of the Receptionist / Administrator is to work within the day to day running of a small team, in the provision of a full reception/administrative support service to the dispensers within the business and to provide a wholly welcoming and professional experience to patients and visitors. You will be focusing on calling our customers daily and always offering excellent service. 

Other key duties include: 

  • Greeting and welcoming patients and visitors with the highest degree of customer service
  • Dealing with enquiries both by telephone and in person and keeping a precise telephone log
  • Keeping the practice tidy and identifying where improvements can be made in customer service, cleanliness, and security
  • General typing to include confidential reports, letters, emails
  • Maintaining appointments diary for patients, across all clinics
  • Liaising with dispensers where necessary
  • Updating the company database in an accurate and timely manner (training will be given)

  • Accurate and timely processing of new orders and repairs
  • Processing post received
  • Maintenance of warranty scheme when required
  • Tracking of stock aids
  • Ordering and monitoring of practice supplies including stationery, leaflets, batteries, hearing aid accessories 

As the Receptionist / Administrator you will have experience within a similar role and have excellent customer service skills with the confidence to communicate face to face and over the telephone. You will be highly organised and reliable with the ability to multitask. You will also need to be flexible to cover holidays and sickness if needed 

On offer is a salary of £10.00 per hour. There are 2 roles available working 24 hours per week. The first vacancy covers Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 08.45am-5.15pm and the second vacancy is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 08.45am-5.15pm.

Ear Care Practitioners


Full time, part time or a job share

Location: Across Suffolk and Norfolk

Salary: £22k-£24k (dependent on experience/qualifications)
 

The Hearing Care Centre is a multi-award winning, family run, hearing care company and we are excited to be expanding our Clinical Ear Care team. We are searching for a Health Care Assistants, Registered Nurses or already qualified Ear Care Practitioners.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our audiology team, providing the highest standards of patient care.

Having received the appropriate training, you will provide safe ear irrigation and microsuction, as well as advising on aftercare and making referrals as required.

Born in 1998 The Hearing Care Centre is a well-established independent practice operating from 27 locations across both Suffolk and Norfolk. This role requires health care, nursing, hearing care/audiology or other medical experience and ideally (although not essential) a recognised qualification. Training in earwax removal techniques will be provided.

You will have proven experience of working with patients in a medical or audiology environment, possess excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. You will also demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.  Please note that your own transport is essential as this role will be undertaken from our main Ipswich practice, as well as a number of outside centres and/or patient homes within Suffolk and Norfolk (travel expenses are paid in line with policy).
