    British Society of Audiology Awards

    Ruth Spencer Award - "For Services to Audiology" - WINNER

    In July 2009 Karen was awarded the prestigious Ruth Spencer Prize by the British Society for Audiology, for her services to the Audiology profession. 

    Karen was nominated by her peers “for her contributions to the standards and profile of hearing aid audiologists, specifically those in the independent sector”.

    The award was established to honour the memory of Ruth Spencer, who, until her death in 1974 at a very early age, was a senior audiology technician at the University of Southampton.
