Hearing Tests in Newmarket Will Raise Money For Haiti Appeal
Local award-winning hearing care specialists, The Hearing Care Centre, have today announced that they will be doing their bit to help with the ongoing relief effort for the devastating Haiti earthquake.
The company which operates from 13 centres across Suffolk, most recently opening it’s latest branch within Spectacular Opticians on Newmarket High Street, will be making a donation of £5 for every hearing screening which is booked between now and 30th April 2010.
The money raised will be donated to the Newmarket Rotary Club, who are along with Rotary Clubs across the World, are purchasing ShelterBoxes, which can provide a home and the essentials for living for up to 10 people.
Since The Hearing Care Centre’s opening back in October 2009, the company has seen a tremendous uptake for people coming to have their hearing tested.
Karen Finch, Managing Director of the company said, “To celebrate our opening in Newmarket we have been offering free of charge hearing screenings for anybody who feels that they may have a hearing problem.
“We have been delighted with the uptake for this offer, and it shows that people want to take action and improve their hearing. As a result we have decided to extend the offer until the end of April, and on top of this, we shall be making a donation of £5 per hearing screening booked, to help the local Rotary Club purchase more ShelterBoxes.
