Kt Tunstall

KT Tunstall talks to Hear The World
KT Tunstall is a successful musician with Scottish, Irish and Chinese roots. Her younger brother was born deaf and she herself suffers from tinnitus and slight hearing loss in one ear. In an interview with the Worldwide hearing loss campaign "HEAR THE WORLD" she said, self-critically: "Unfortunately, it's only when you experience a problem that you really realize how precious your hearing is."

Local Charity Plea For Help Heard by The Hearing Care Centre
A local charity set up to provide hot meals for the homeless and vulnerable in Ipswich, sent out a plea for help, as it was being inundated with people requiring their assistance. The Hearing Care Centre responded to this cry for help.

Theatre Staff Are Deaf Aware
Staff at The New Wolsey Theatre, in Ipswich, are now hoping to increase number the visitors to the theatre, by being better able to accommodate the deaf and hard of hearing community, after the staff recently completed a deaf awareness training programme.

Karen Finch Awarded Top Honour at Business Women Awards
A host of top local business women, were last night honoured at a prestigious awards ceremony, which celebrated their achievements throughout the past 12 months. One Suffolk-born entrepreneur, Karen Finch, who is Managing Director of The Hearing Care Centre, was awarded with the top honour at the East of England Business Women Awards, being presented the Beatrice Wilkinson Memorial Award.
